Connect Zoom to UpSynk
Add Zoom once, then let UpSynk create and maintain meeting links for your scheduled events. This guide explains installation, everyday use, configuration, and complete removal.
Before you connect
- An active UpSynk account and workspace membership.
- A Zoom account that is allowed to authorize Marketplace apps.
- Admin approval if your Zoom organization requires apps to be pre-approved.
- Browser pop-ups enabled for UpSynk during the OAuth connection flow.
Add and authorize Zoom
- 1
Sign in to UpSynk
Sign in to the UpSynk workspace where you want Zoom meeting links to be created. - 2
Open Integrations
Go to Integrations and find Zoom under Video conferencing. - 3
Select Connect
UpSynk opens Zoom's secure authorization page in a new window. Sign in to Zoom if prompted. - 4
Review and authorize
Review the requested permissions, then approve the app. If Zoom shows Requestinstead of an authorization option, ask your Zoom administrator to approve UpSynk. - 5
Confirm the connection
Return to UpSynk. The Zoom card displays the connected Zoom email address when authorization succeeds.
Use Zoom with UpSynk
Choose Zoom for an event
Create or edit an event template in UpSynk and select Zoom as its meeting location.
Create meetings automatically
When an invitee books, UpSynk creates the Zoom meeting and shares the appropriate join details.
Keep meetings synchronized
Rescheduling updates the linked Zoom meeting. Canceling the UpSynk meeting removes the corresponding Zoom meeting when possible.
Use the correct host account
Team members who host Zoom events must connect their own Zoom account so UpSynk can create meetings for that host.
Data and permissions
UpSynk uses the authorized Zoom connection only to identify the connected account and create, update, or delete Zoom meetings for events you manage in UpSynk. The integration stores OAuth credentials, token expiry information, the connected email, Zoom user ID, account ID, and granted scope so the connection can operate and refresh securely.
UpSynk does not use this integration to access Zoom chat messages or meeting recordings. For retention, sharing, security, and data-subject request information, read the Privacy Policy.
Disconnect and remove Zoom
- 1
Disconnect in UpSynk
Open Integrations, locate Zoom, select Disconnect, and confirm. UpSynk deletes the stored integration and stops creating new Zoom meetings. - 2
Revoke access in Zoom
For complete removal, sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace, open Manage, then Added Apps. Find UpSynk, select Remove, and confirm. - 3
Review existing meetings
Disconnecting does not delete meetings that already exist. Review any previously scheduled Zoom meetings and invitations that you still need to change or cancel.
Need help?
If authorization fails, confirm pop-ups are allowed, your Zoom administrator has approved the app, and the Zoom account has permission to create meetings. Contact UpSynk support if the connection still does not complete.
